LATEST ANTENNA & AERIAL INFORMATION FOR
BROADBAND & MOBILE PHONE RECEPTION
November 2008

Broadband internet is now available in most regional areas on the Telstra Next G
network. In Windellama many people are now enjoying a fast broadband internet
connection using the normal Telstra broadband modems, with the edition of an external
directional antenna.

Over the last year I have been testing many different antennas that work well in our area.
The best antenna for , functionality, price and aesthetics is a small and portable 14.2 dBi gain Bi-quad antenna. (Pictured Below)

This aerial is made in Australia by Tassie Little Devil Antennas. Tim & Father Ken (A Family Business) has been making aerials for over 30 years and has created a beauty in this little unit. Using his many years of experience he has come up with a sturdy practical antenna that has a wider range than traditional aerials.

These antennas can be either mounted on a mast, low mounted on the side of your house or even just sat on the kitchen table. They work very well and can increase the signal to both your computer for the internet or your mobile phone.

There is a magnetic base available so that the aerial can go with you, (we use them in the Fire Brigade to get a mobile and data signal in some of the more remote areas in
Windellama & surrounds.)

These aerials cost $275 inc GST and can be ordered by contacting me on 4844 5174 or [Click Here] to contact me via the website contact form.

If you are interested in signing up for Telstra NextG broadband, I have been dealing with
a country based Telstra dealer in Orange. They have a very good understanding of what is required and as they know the story, it may save you time ringing around trying to solve the mysteries of Telstra & Next G yourself.

If you would like further information regarding Telstra NextG Broadband you can ring
Katheryn McDowell on 02 6363 8999 She is very helpful & can arrange to set up your
broadband account and arrange delivery of the hardware that is required.
